Top Ten Tuesday!

Top Ten Books I'm Dying to Read, hosted by The Broke and the Bookish:

1. T.C. Boyle, The Tortilla Curtain
I love T.C. Boyle's stories, as you may have noticed from my last post.  I'm considering this novel for a class I plan to teach next semester.

2. Jonathan Franzen, Freedom
I hope I'm not disappointed by the hype, but I love The Corrections.

3. Suzanne Collins, The Hunger Games
I love Battle Royale, and I'm pretty sure I'll like this - despite the hype.

4. Emily Bronte, Wuthering Heights
As soon as I'm ready to make the move back to the classics (I'm on a hiatus), this will be my first move.

5. Jonathan Tropper, This is Where I Leave You
I got a recommendation on this one, and I picked it up last week.

6. Jeanette Walls, The Glass Castle
I think I'm about due for a memoir and I hear nothing but good things about this one.

7. Diana Gabaldon, Outlander
This is really uncharacteristic reading for me, but I picked it up at an independent bookstore recently, and I'm pretty psyched for it.

8. Steig Larsson, The Girl Who Played With Fire
Okay, so my review of the first book wasn't exactly raving, but I still look forward to doing it again.

9.  Luis Rodriguez, Always Running
I've been getting recommendations for this one since I was in college, and now it is finally sitting in my TBR pile.

10. Barbara Kingsolver, The Lacuna
The Bean Trees was one of my first favorite grown up books, and I've been a fan ever since.

Comments

  1. I enjoyed The Girl Who Played with Fire more than the Dragon Tattoo.
