Top Ten Tuesday: FALL PREVIEW
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week's very exciting topic is Top Ten Books TBR This Fall. I'm going to focus on some new releases coming out this fall/late summer that I am highly anticipating, which isn't to diminish the 958 (seriously, I can't believe I'm admitting it) books that are on my shelves that I either have not read, or are due for a reread (and there are more, many more, that I actually have read). But these are books that I'm so excited about that I won't be able to resist them either.
10.Tom Perrotta, The Leftovers (August)
9. Erin Morgenstern, The Night Circus (September)
8. Russell Banks, Lost Memory of Skin (September)
7.Colson Whitehead, Zone One (October)
6.Daniel Handler and Maira Kalman (!!), Why We Broke Up (December)
5.Chad Harbach, The Art of Fielding (September)
4.Daniel Woodrell, The Outlaw Album: Stories (October)
3.Haruki Murakami, 1Q84 (October)
2.Justin Torres, We the Animals (August- I'm currently reading this)
1.Jeffrey Eugenides, (FINALLY) The Marriage Plot (October)
It's going to be an exciting fall! What will you all be reading?

Haruki Murakami is the only familiar name to me on that list. I'm currently reading his short stories. They're fun but incredibly strange! I hope to try a novel of his some time next year. :)
ReplyDeleteSO EXCITED for the new Eugenides book! Also, a new Tom Perrotta book? Interesting... I've only read Little Children by him so far, but I'm definitely open to reading more of his work.
ReplyDeleteI'm interested in the Night Circus. You're brave to count the TBR books on your shelf. I don't dare.
ReplyDelete"The Leftovers" interests me the most on your list. Have you read "Middlesex" by Eugenides by any chance? I'm wondering whether or not it is worth reading. Great blog and consider me subscribed. :)
ReplyDeleteA NEW MAIRA KALMAN??? Please forgive my shouting, but no one told me that there was a new Maira Kalman book coming out!
ReplyDeleteI've seen The Marriage Plot and 1Q84 on quite a few lists - I think I need to read those authors. Great list, and brava for admitting the length of your TBR shelf!
ReplyDeleteThe Leftovers sounds interesting..... Great list!
ReplyDeleteyour list sounds interesting, I'm not familiar with a few of them but that's why we book blog isn't it--to discover more books and the people who read them. thanks so much for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteHaruki Murakami IQ84 seems to be on all the lists, I definitely want to read it too! Just looking at the cover design of the Leftovers makes me want to read the book!!
ReplyDeleteNice list :)
I've never heard of the book before, but what a great cover for The Leftorvers! Also, I've seen The Night Circus on so many lists this week that I must add it to my near future reads!
ReplyDeleteThe only one I've heard of is The Night Circus. Will have to check out the others. Happy reading!
ReplyDeletethanks for stopping by!
I'm excited about The Leftovers and The Night Circus too! 1Q84 sounds great too but I want to read more Murakami before I tackle that one. Great list! :)
