Okay, so I know that summer TBR was last week's Top Ten Tuesday, but I wanted to do it, but was preparing for a work trip to Indianapolis, and thus, didn't get the chance. So, I am doing it in lieu of this week's topic. Here they are:
10.
W. Somerset Maugham, The Painted Veil
9.
Donna Tartt, The Secret History
8.
Charles Duhigg, The Power of Habit
7.
Haruki Murakami, What I Talk About When I Talk About Running
6.
Lewis Carroll, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland
5.
John Steinbeck, The Pastures of Heaven
4.
Truman Capote, In Cold Blood
3.
Jonathan Franzen, Freedom
2.
Emma Straub, Laura Lamont's Life in Pictures (really good so far)
1.
Michael Chabon, Telegraph Avenue
Some classics, hey? I'd like to read through my pile of classics too! Love the image.
ReplyDeleteGreat list! Every summer, my goal is not to purchase any more books, but read the ones on my shelf. I am an avid reader, but I seem to purchase faster than I read.
ReplyDeleteI live in Indianapolis; hopefully my city treated you well! Unfortunately we are lacking in independent bookstores. My favorites are Book Mamas and Big Hat Books, should you ever make it back for a work trip.
Nice list! I want to read The Power of Habit. Have you read other Franzen books? I'll be curious to see what you think of it!
