Top Ten Tuesday: Ima Be

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the The Broke and the Bookish each week. This week's topic is: Top Ten Characters I Would Trade Places With for 24 hours (which I suppose is important)

Here are mine  mostly for which I couldn't help but go back to my childhood:

10. Harriet from Harriet the Spy
9. Matilda from Matilda
8. Jordan from The Great Gatsby
7.  James from James and the Giant Peach
6. Lucy from The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe
5. Claudia from The Babysitter's Club
4. Any of the kids from The Boxcar Children
3. Charlie from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
2.  Pippi from Pippi Longstocking
1. Mary in The Secret Garden

Apparently I want to live in a Roald Dahl book. How about you?

Comments

  1. I heavily considered James and The Giant Peach for my own TTT list, but Narnia won out instead. I understand and concur with the Roald Dahl obsession!

  5. I loveeee this list, I can't believe I completely forgot about childhood books when making my list! I LOVED CLAUDIA. No lie, she is the only reason I know the Biological Classification system (Kingdom Phylum Class etc..) - that is the one mnemonic device that stuck with me (Kindly Pass Claudia Oreos, For Goodness Sake!). And when I was younger, I totally thought I was Harriet the spy - I kept my notebook and observed and thought I knew all these things about the people in my town.

  9. I'm rereading Secret Garden right now and, at least in the early chapters, I will tell you that Mary is not the most delightful of characters! Surely she will become a kinder, gentler Mary....

Thanks for this list. I love it that you chose children's book characters.

  11. A great list! I love that they were childhood favs because who didn't live vicariously through at least one of these characters?
