Top Ten Tuesday: Looking Forward to 2013

Although I am a little shocked that 2012 is also coming to its end, I am still looking forward to a few books from 2013.  So, good thing that is the topic this week at The Broke and the Bookish.

Here are my Top Ten Books that I'm Pining For in 2013

10.  Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell (February)
9. The Interestings by Meg Wolitzer (April)
8. Vampires in the Lemon Grove by Karen Russell (February)

7. A Thousand Pardons by Jonathan Dee (March)
6.  Electrico W by Herve Le Telier (June)
5. Tenth of December: Stories by George Saunders (January)

4. The Love Song of Jonny Valentine by Teddy Wayne (February)
3. The House at Belle Fontaine by Lily Tuck (April)
2. The Woman Upstairs by Cliare Messud (April)
1.  We Live in Water by Jess Walter (April)

I'm sure there will be big fall releases that we don't know about yet.  If I had my wish there would be a new Donna Tartt.  It has been 10 years since The Little Friend, so it is about time.

Comments

  1. There is theorectically going to be a new Donna Tartt, but in all likelihood...

I am also excited for Eleanor and Park (didn't include it) and I've heard good things about The Love Song of Johnny Valentine (I get a little nervous when I hear too many good things, the possibility of a let down increases...)

  2. Thanks for visiting Jorie's Reads yesterday and leaving a comment :)... "The Interestings" by Meg Wolitzer has a pretty cover. I may add that to my TBR list, too. Happy Reading!

  3. Oh, lots of titles I haven't heard about :) I really like the sound of the very first one - I'll go and check it out on Goodreads.

Here's my list if you'd like to have a look :)

  4. What interesting choices! I'm so used to seeing the same YA books on everyone's list...

Thanks for putting Vampires in the Lemon Grove on my radar! I don't usually read many short stories, but this collection looks great.

  5. A Thousand Pardons and Jonny Valentine are on my radar for 2013 as well. I'm looking forward to them!
