Readathon!

I finally decided that I would sign up and participate in Dewey's 24 Hour Readathon.  I have grading, and a wedding shower tomorrow, but I'm going to grade on Sunday, and only take a couple of hour break for the shower, and I'm going to do it.  And I'm psyched.  I have a really ambitious book pile that I will barely scratch the surface of.  Here it is:

From top to bottom:
Paul Harding, Tinkers
Michelle Latolais, Widow: Stories
Roberto Bolano, Antwerp
Honore de Balzac, The Girl With the Golden Eyes
Laurie Halse Anderson, Speak
Lore Segal, Lucinella
Ray Bradbury, Fahrenheit 451
Sloane Crosley, I Was Told There'd Be Cake: Essays
Alberto Rios, The Theater of Night
Alison Bechdel, Fun Home
Sherman Alexie, The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven
David Small, Stitches
Andre Dubus, Townie

There is a lot of variety in there, but I chose mostly short works: essays, short stories, graphic novels, poetry and novellas.  My husband is at work all day tomorrow and it is supposed to snow tonight, which should make it an ideal hang out and read type of day.  Even if I don't read much, I still plan to have fun.
