Top Five (not as catchy) Tuesday: Thanks Bloggers!
This week The Broke and the Bookish is celebrating BBAW (Book Blogger Appreciation Week) with this topic: Top Ten Books I Read Because of Another Blogger.
Although I feel like I've purchased many books as a direct result of a blogger's recommendation, I'm not sure how many of them I've read, so this is going to be a Top Five for me. I also apologize that I can't remember which blogs made which recommends.
5. The Wave by Susan Casey
4. The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson
3. And the Pursuit of Happiness by Maira Kalman
2. Room by Emma Donoghue
1. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

I wish I could remember specific blogs where my recommendations came from, too.

My Head is Full of Books
I have Room on my Kindle - I really need to get around to it. I cannot remember who recommends books to me so I recently bought a small book journal so I can write them down along with who recommended. :) Always nice to go back and say thanks for a good book. New to your blog.

I began trying to remember the blogs I'd gotten book ideas from, but gave up after the first book.
ReplyDeleteThe Hunger Games is awesome and a great one to have recommended, I hope you enjoy it when you get to it.
I've not read any of these. Hope you enjoyed them all! I'm not much for recent fiction...But as my list shows I can be influenced to take it up now and again.
ReplyDeletethanks for stopping by!
Room is definitely a title I read because of all of the good things book bloggers had to say about it. I can't remember any single review that made me want to read it, but the general buzz is certainly responsible.
ReplyDeleteRoom is on my kindle--I just haven't got to it yet. Thanks so much for stopping by.
